Watles, the local mountain of Burgusio, is located just 7km away from our Sporthotel St. Michael. The ski bus regularly takes you to the valley station, where modern chair lift facilities take you high into the snow flurries each day from 9am-4pm. What awaits you there, is nothing less than the sunniest ski area in South Tirol. You can hit the four manageable pistes and ski or snowboard with fast turns into the valley. A day of skiing is, of course, perfectly rounded off with a hot drink and some delicious South Tyrolean dishes at the mountain station.
Ski Schools for Old and Young
If you would like to learn how to ski or snowboard for the first time, or your technique is a little bit rusty, that's no problem! The Watles Ski School possesses the “Gold Certification” among the Children’s Ski Schools in Southtyrol and also loves teaching adults how to ski or snowboard. 15 professional and pedagogically-trained ski instructors are ready to share their skill, tips and tricks with you.
Toboggan Run Fun
The four-kilometre-long natural toboggan run through the picturesque larch forest of Watles is one of the most beautiful runs in South Tirol, with a view of the valley, speedy sections and crisp turns. The ascent on foot can be a leisurely hike for you; but for a faster and more comfortable ascent, the chair lift is of course also available.
